Snow Adventure

Oh Boy, well yesterday my parents had called and asked Dennis and I if we were interested in going snowmachineing. Of course I look at Dennis as he gets a smerk on his face and nods his head YES! We are going sledding yay! Little did we know but it was to be a family affair. We were asked to get Sierra and head down to Girdwood for the night.

When we left Anchorage it was just about sun set. We pulled over at one of the many scenic sites and Sierra Took a couple of Excellent pictures of us.

After the long ride home to Girdwood, we all went to bed nice and early so that we would have plenty of energy for the day ahead.

We were off to Placer by 10:30 and on our sleds soon after. After riding for a short time, I found that we were crossing little creeks and going up and down steep hills. The snow was the perfect pack to just ride anywhere that your heart desired. Here are some photos of what the day looked like.

After having lunch on a nice little knoll, we headed for the glacier to begin our climb up. After we were over the 3rd big hump, I found that Uncle Bill had decided to pave his own path and fell into well a small cravass the size of a ditch. Bill has always been the more adventureous of our friends/family. I think it is because he doesn't have the "singer" part of Mot. Oh yeah, and he has that extra T. Anyways we dug him out of the ditch quickly and headed back towards home.

After making it home and relaxing for a while we all headed back to Anchorage. Uncle Bill later called us to tell us that once again he had broken his wrist. What are we to do with that man? He is VERY ACCIDENT PRONE! But a great time was had by all!
Shay Out!
